Anna’s Sunflower Warriors Foundation is a non profit dedicated to give support, gifts, and guidance to those families fighting pediatric cancer or a life threatening illness. We also will continue to be part of our community and continue to partner with our school district to help families/students in need as well. But above all else our main mission will continue to be supporting The Melodies Center Pediatric Oncology at Albany Medical Center with our candy cart. 

Anna spent many hours herself getting treatment in the hospital and focused on what her and other children would benefit from. She found she loved to bring crafts for other children that she herself would love to do and keep her busy. She started bringing snacks to her doctors and nurses who took care of her and from there expanded to also including the patient children as well. She wanted to make sure those kids always had access to snack, drink, and other goodies to help pass the time. She loved collecting and giving gingerbread houses to the inpatient children during the holidays to make sure they had some holiday traditions even when they were not at home. She found happiness in giving back to those were going through the exact same thing as she was. 

Anna herself started this foundation and strived to make sure she would be able to continue to help others. When Anna passed from her own battle in August 2nd 2022 we knew the best way to honor her memory was to make sure we kept her mission going and making it a 501c non profit. We will continue to support those families in need as well as the community that has always support us and what Anna stood for.
